Happy Earth Day To You!

Tomorrow marks the 39th celebration of Earth Day.

What is Earth Day?
A grassroots movement established in September 1969 at a conference in Seattle. The goal is to address issues and raise awareness about environmental sustainability.

Why April 22?
College students were kept in mind when deciding the date of celebration. April 22 was chosen because it was good timing for good weather but did not conflict with Easter, Passover or final exams. Thirty-nine years later, our environment remains in peril and an effort titled, “The Green Generation Campaign” is dedicated to achieving significant progress before Earth Day 2010.

What is The Green Generation Campaign?
Although college students are targeted most to implement change into the future, the Green Generation Campaign needs people of all ages and nationalities, consumers who are committed to buying green, community leaders who are focused on greening their communities, those who work in green jobs, scientists and engineers who develop green technologies. Basically, anyone committed to a vision of a sustainable planet.

The mission of the Green Generation is to mark the 40th Anniversary of Earth Day in 2010 as the beginning of a new era of environmental responsibility among everyone.

It’s your Earth Day, you can do whatever you want to!
What will your part be?
Earth Day can be celebrated in many ways. Here at One Tribe Creative, we are lucky enough to meet business owners and individuals who continue to make a difference every day of the year. There are many ways to do your part also.

Whether it’s just being more conscious of your everyday use of resources and contributing to The Green Generation's "Billion Acts of Green", or attending an Earth Day event to raise awareness of environmental reform. Sustainable living is contagious. This is one bug you want to spread this year!

Here’s to you, Earth!
